This headboard looks great in my bedroom and matches the color of other furniture in the room. It's made of cheap particleboard, but that was to be expected at this price. It does the job and as long as I don't move it, I'm sure it will last a long time.

The size and shape and look of this headboard is good. The price is right. Be careful when you are assembling it, the directions are not clear about how far to place the connectors into the top, and you can come through it easily, making a bump on the top, or even breaking through.

This was a great addition to the completion of the platform bed that we bought. It has ample storage for the books I am currently reading, and I was abot to get rid of my night stand. We have a VERY small house and 2 messy kids. Organization and storage is Very important to me. It is sturdy and makes the room! Just be careful when putting the top on. The nails will come through and make a little bump if you're not. We did that, not a big deal when you look at the big picture and we are the only ones that know they're there.

I just put this together last night and was impressed by the detailed instructions, which made it easy to do. When comparing to what you might buy at Ikea (where you'd get similar quality and construction) this headboard is a really, really good value. I looked around a lot, and I'd guess this piece is $150 to $200 less than other alternatives out there, plus it looks much more expensive than the Ikea stuff. Overall I'm very satisfied with the product, and the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I don't know how well it will take wear and tear over time.

Very nice. Not that bad to build. All the pre-drilled holes line up. Just strange they don't make a way for it to connect to the Prepac platform beds they make. Not going to be a problem for us, just kind of silly. Yo uhave to push the platform bed up against it, and it leaves a small gap in between. If not for that, I'd give it 5 stars!

Solid. Easy to put together. Looks fantastic. I am giving it a 4 star because if you buy this as a matching piece to the KINGSIZE PLATFORM STORAGE BED (ESPRESSO) the top of the bed gable will NOT sit flush against the headboard, leaving a gap of about an inch or so (There is another review on here pointing this out and how you can accidently drop things in it) I wrote an email to prepac suggesting that they offer side panels that are cut to allow fitting the top of the matching bed gable flush against it. But that's the only downside and I thoroughly recommend this as a five star purchase if you have another king bed frame that won't have this issue. Thanks

Easy to put together, looks nice, and is very economical. Good for guest room or kids room.... You get what you pay for.... If you are looking for HIGH quality furniture, this is not the set for you, but if you are looking for a good value for your $$$, then go for it.

This headboard is good-looking and solidly built for a prepac piece of furniture. It was easy to put together, as well. However, there is one unforeseen issue: there is a gap between the Monterey bed and the headboad of about 2.5 inches--just enough for small or thin objects to fall between them. Once an object has fallen, it is very difficult to retrieve it without removing the headboard. I have had some luck using a piece of gum on a stick-like object, but this won't work for heavier things. I'm a klutz--we've had this headboard for 2 months, and there is already quite a collection of small objects under it.
